North and South

I had a fantastic Christmas this year with both my families. Yes I have two families now with two farms to visit. The dymanics has changed in each household but still lots of fun was to be had. Of course I ate way to much and gained winter weight. Yeah for the return of exercise classes, clear trails and better diets. The best part of Christmas was spending it with my sweet. The connection there with doing things together and doing nothing together that create balance and "that thing that I'm looking for" Seeing my nephew and playing with him was also a highligh. He is mobile and has personality.

We stayed away from Boxing Day sales but did venture to Future Shop to purchase some excellent DVD's and speakers.

The biggest dissapointment was............the weather. I mean sure it was 11 degrees outside but without snow, the Christmas carols just don't work.

Uhggg but Fantastic

Well the proir week was awesome with training and working out. This week...not so much. I can really tell how sluggish my body is. It also doesn't help that all this food is everywere and I'm eating it. Oh I miss the BBQ and fresh vegtables.

I'm also reminding myself and everyone else that when someone asks how you are the answer should be fantastic! Not fine or Ok. If you say that you are fantastic it catches people off guard but the best thing is that you start actually thinking that you are fantastic. Life may effect your mood but you control it. This is idea is created by reflection of others. Some people are getting the Christmas blues or are stressed out to the max like their Credit Card.

So to make life just a little better just smile and say fantastic. It work.

The weekend before Christmas

The weekend before Christmas and no Christmas parties to attend.

Well this weekend was a tale of two nights. The first night was quite and quaint with my sweet at the movies. Went to see Just Friends. The movie was pretty good and made me laugh but the best thing about it was seeing all the scenes shot right her in Moose Jaw. Yes that is a house in Moose Jaw, a restaurant in Moose Jaw and a bar in Moose Jaw. Also the rink is the Bert Hunt and I must have run across the bridge in the background of the outdoor rink 100 times. There has always been movies shot in Moose Jaw but this is the first big Hollywood movie. I’m interested to see what extra’s will come on the DVD.

Then we move to Saturday. I practiced and it paid off. I’m ready for Time’s Like These for New Year and the band sounds great. I’m honored that they found a spot for me in there set. I now understand why singers wear the earpiece because it is hard to hear yourself sing. So it was a typical rock and roll story with music, gambling and of course booze. I’m not ready for the rock n roll lifestyle as my head pointed out on Sunday but that was a learning curve too. However it was all worth it because it was a good time. A Mr. Lahey drunk good time

Wild light blinding bright

I'm penciled in. That is right. Penciled in for Circadian Rhyths on New Years Eve. What am I talking about, well my buddy has a band and they are pretty good. They kill on foo fighters, green day and big wreck. Well we went out one night for Karokee and I sang Times Like These by the foo fighters and now they want me to sing it with them. When you ask....New Years of course. They are renting a hall and putting on a big bash for new year. Everyone is invited. So I have been singing my heart out with this song and I starting to get it down. It actually is kinda fun. They boys are coming in this weekend to play and I'm gonna watch them do the magic and have the honor of jumping in. Should be fun.

It's time like these you learn to live again
It's time like these you give and give again
It's time like these you learn to love again
It's time like these time and time again

and now as per my last quote life has a sense of humour...check this out from the past on February 9. I'm still learning but I've changes text books.

Signs you are growing up

1. You actually tune into to talk radio.
2. You know what channel the weather network is.
3. You depend less on cabs because there actually is a responsible driver in the group.
4. The lyrics to Country music actually make sense and you can relate to the heartbreak or love song.
5. Punk music sounds like a bunch of whinny teenagers complaining about how rough life is on them.
6. R&B and rap music now sample all the music of your youth.
7. You realize that Vanna White is still doing Wheel of Fortune.
8. You go to the mountains to ski and not snowboard.
9. The word Diet Coke enters your vocabulary.
10. Napping replaces sleeping in.
11. Cardio workout replaces all night dancing
12. You can actually cook something in the oven and not in the microwave
13. Life starts to make sense and you realize it has quite a sense of humour

Walk the Line

Saw Johnny Cash's Walk the Line last night and this is adivce to all you guys out there from June Carter....

When proposing marriage there are somethings you should not do

1. Propose at 2:00 am on a bus
2. Propose after saying I had a bad dream...

Sounds good to me.

Don't Get it

Some people really don't get it. We have all had troubles in the past and that is were we want to leave them...in the past. Sorry but I don't up to date with people I dislike or have hurt me in the past. So quit asking me questions about them....I've moved on and I have a great person to sit in the hot tub, watch a movie and go to Tim Horton's. It is the best. I'm feeling loved like I never have before. I tell you it was a real "Locked in the Truck of a Car" feeling yesterday.

I think there are two people in this world (Ok I know this is overdone) but those who see their world and those who see the entire world. So get off your little island and explore the rest of the world without fear of making a mistake.
