10 for 10
I ran my 10 Half Marathon today in a time of 1:54:26. Emily was there to watch me and I felt much better. Much better than the full in Winnipeg. The weather was perfect today.
The mind is weak the body is strong, the mind says stop but the body goes on.

Almost Fastest
Sometimes things just click and you get in that zone. I really experienced being in the zone today with my 8th Half Marathon in a time of 1:49:44. This was my fourth RPS Half and it was my fasted. All through training I have always been running at a faster pace than normal. Due to this I set a goal of 1:58. If figured this would be possible with the weather conditions. The weather was extremely windy...I mean a harsh SE wind but no rain or snow this time. It actually helped a little but hurt when running into it.
So yeah I started to run and just thought that my pace would slow...it did not and I gave into the wind finishing under 1:50. I really think this might be the year of 3:59:59. Dare to dream dare to dream.

It's been a while
So something to think about
You will always exist is the universe in one form or another
You must accept the truth from whatever source it comes
When I play from my mind I get in trouble
The world is round and the place which may seem like the end may also be the beginning
You'r asking the wrong questions. I fyou want to make the world a better place, tell funnier jokes

54 points!
54 points, it must be a head enduced illusion. No wait the sunburn tells me it is real. Riders melt the Eskimo’s 54 – 14! Everything we did turned into points. Recovered punts, touchdown passes, touchdown runs, blocked punts and qb sacks for points. The fact that is was 40 outside only affect the choice of beverage. Anything with ice was good but beer in a can started to boil pretty quick. Another fantastic game. It was needed after we mailed it in last week.
What a month
July was full of fun! The lake, ball games, ball provincials, 3 rider games, and three concerts! The only that did not happen was a lot of training but August is here and so I will get back at it. Oh yeah it was also very hot and I liked it. Made it very hard to run but still I don’t have to go to Mexico in February because we had Mexico weather in July.
Now back to building a quick machine!

Wheat Kings and Pretty Things
All I can say is wow….yes saw the Tragically Hip again in Saskatoon at the Bess Gardens. Ahh the Hip outdoors. It was wonderful and intimate. My new favourite song is Wheat Kings. Something about a song with a story and the melody of Gordie’s voice. I will try to post the video soon!

A Sea of Lions and Cowboy Hats
Well after a huge smile last week, the Riders absolutely handed it to the Lions in the worst loss I have every seen at Taylor Field excluding a Labour Day disaster 3 years ago.
No one showed up today except 3 streakers which were very entertaining. I have never seen security look so bad or be used a prop to enhance the streaking. At least they all had a Pilsner 13th man flag!
Lions 42 – 12
Then on Saturday we had free VIP tickets to the biggest, dustiest, craziest party in Saskatchewan. Yes it was Craven weekend. Nothing is better that a free ride, free tickets and free drinks in a small town with 23500 of your closest friends. We saw Road Hammer, Gretchen Wilson and Big and Rich. My sweet actually watched Big and Rich from Backstage. I’m not a huge country music fan (actually not a fan at all) but still in the right environment with enough beautiful people, it is run. Only thing that is not fun is a 1 hr ride home on a school bus on a gravel road when you really want to sleep after a long night.

Elegantly Wasted? No it was Pretty Vegas
When I first learned that INXS was coming to Regina, I jumped on the opportunity. I mean come on, was there ever a more entertaining show than Rockstar INXS? Plus only good things can come when Aussies and Canucks team up right. Well the only thing that needed improvement was that JD needed a makeover.
Then I learn that they moved the venue to Casino Regina. All of a sudden I became very excited. I mean goodbye big venue and hello small venue with an intimate atmosphere. I had no idea it was going to be so good. All the hits of the INXS v1.0 and current songs of INXS v2.0. Pretty Vegas never sounded so good! Check it out.....as filmed by my sweet. Can you hear us singing?
