Whistle while you work

If I was one of the Seven Dwarfs this weekend I would be Happy for sure. The weekend started off with all that I needed with a little pool practice. Next weekend we are in a tournament and Vegas is the goal. Yes believe it or not we actually play in a league were we can qualify for Vegas. Now Saturday was quite the day. First of all, the lovely snow that blanketed our fine land melted creating the brown Christmas once again. Due to the warm weather I did what every Canadian would think right...let’s go for a run. Put on my running gear again and everything was in balance for those 63 minutes. This was highlighted by the fact it started to rain halfway through. I love running in the rain but there was something different due to the fact there was puddles everywhere, snow, rain and oh yeah it was December 11 and everyone else was going to the Mall to by Christmas gifts. Well it was the weekend so of course that meant another Christmas party. A house party in Regina for all to enjoy. A fun time had by all and maybe a little bit too much fun for some.

Now the above was great but to be honest it was just another weekend in the life of bachelorhood, however why I am happy is this. I had two conversations today. One involved an email about real life. Real life of people trying to understand the actions of someone else. It was dealing with feelings that struck a nerve as we question life when we can’t figure out why we care for someone and they don’t seem care if we do. They play emotions when it works best for them, however they are learning life’s best training methods. Try and fail and then learn from your mistakes. Maybe that is the key to understanding. Don’t ask why just think that they are learning by failing. Really they just don't know any better.

So this all brings me back to me being Happy. After a Sunday of housework a simple phone call from an angel to make the weekend complete. It is the simple things that make your day. The simplness of dialing the phone just to say hi. Try it...it is better than any present under a tree.
